About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Student Business Analyst to help establish and build our commercial strategy. Bactolife is at a critical stage of development, advancing several projects within Human and Animal Health. To substantiate, monitor, and validate our pipeline projects, we emphasize market and data analyses spanning market sizing, competitor/benchmark analysis, and end-user research.

The role requires strong mathematical, analytical and some coding skills, with a focus on building models, finding key data, drawing actionable insights, and monitoring market trends. You will be expected to approach tasks with autonomy, propose solutions, and learn independently as needed.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Conduct ad-hoc market intelligence (executive, industry, competitor, company, market data) to support pipeline projects (pitch preparation, partnership presentations, investor presentations, etc.).
  • Develop business potential analyses and cases for Bactolife’s pipeline projects and other opportunities in collaboration with team members.
  • Build and maintain structured Excel models to analyze and interpret data, ensuring clear outputs for decision-making.
  • Oversee Bactolife’s market and competitor insights and further develop our internal AI monitoring tool. Make monthly highlights on recent competitor, industry, and partner moves and trends.
  • Support the graphical representation of data for customer and management presentations.
  • Report directly to the Vice President of Business Development.

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc student (based in Denmark).
  • Experience with writing in Python or other languages. Experience with OpenAI API integration is a big plus.
  • Strong Excel skills, particularly in building and maintaining financial or business critical models.
  • Analytical mindset with a flair for visual representation of complex data.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • A service-minded approach with a strong desire to deliver high-quality service to Bactolife’s team, management and board of directors.
  • Experience with PowerPoint is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

Additional Details

  • The position is part-time (15 hours per week), with flexible scheduling to accommodate school, exams, and other commitments.
  • The role is primarily in-person at our Denmark office, with the possibility of hybrid work up to one day a week.
